What to Expect from the Kakehashi Trip
JACL Kakehashi Project | Supervisor Information | What to Expect | FAQs
Each Kakehashi Project trip is a unique experience for attendees! Depending on the number of attendees, the group will be split up into smaller groups that will travel to one or multiple locations during their time in Japan. Travel details will be given to selected participants closer to the travel date, and recommended packing lists and clothing will be given out during program orientations.
One of the programming aspects of Kakehashi that does remain consistent is meetings with local or national government officials, students, and others. While you may wear casual clothing during travel and some programming, due to the nature of this program and meeting with officials, all participants are required to bring several outfits that are business casual and at least one that is business formal.
