Get Out the Vote (GOTV)2026!

This fall, JACL is partnering with National Voter Registration Day, APIAVote, and Power The Polls on a nonpartisan campaign to reach Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander voters nationwide. Registering to vote matters, but so does helping our neighbors, friends, and fellow community members cast their ballots. You can get involved in several ways, and most can be done from home. No experience is needed, and training is provided.

We'll be calling AANHPI voters nationwide ahead of Election Day. All sessions are remote, so you'll only need a computer, internet access, and three hours. Each session begins with a training, so first-time volunteers will feel prepared.

  • Evening of Wednesday, October 14

  • Evening of Wednesday, October 28

Volunteer with the APIAVote Multilingual Voter Hotline

APIAVote runs a multilingual hotline for AANHPI voters who need help in their language. Callers get help finding their polling place, registering to vote, getting translation assistance at the polls, and reporting problems. Volunteers who speak an Asian or Pacific Islander language are especially needed. You can volunteer from home, and APIAVote will provide training.

Host a Voter Registration Drive with Your Chapter

Chapters are well positioned to register voters in their own communities. We ask chapter leaders to complete a short survey (two minutes or less) about which activities your chapter can take on this fall. Some states close registration in early October, so please respond by Wednesday, September 23, at 8:00 PM Eastern Time. We'll follow up with guidance and state-specific training from APIAVote.

Become a Poll Worker with Power the Polls

Our elections depend on ordinary people to make sure voting runs smoothly, and every vote is counted.  Poll workers are in high demand across the nation. You can help keep elections safe, fair, and efficient by serving as a poll worker in your community. JACL is proud to partner with Power the Polls to connect members with this opportunity.
